Generally, there are flaps that direct the air. Depending on the vehicle, they can work in *slightly* different ways. I can specify with my car where I want the air to go. My taurus would only put heat out the vents if I moved the controls to AC. You can use AC, just adjust the temperature to hot. It works the same, just changes the temp. You can hear the flaps move when you change how you want it to go. My Taurus had a flap that would get "stuck" and I would have to tap on the center console with my feet to get it to adjust.

In Oct I will be finishing a term of 6 months probation. I have completed all of the terms of my probation which included 50 hours of community service. The indictment against me is supposed to be dismissed pending completion of the 6 months probation and 50 hours of community service. Should I expect to get something in writing that the indictment has been dismissed? Alright, I smoke weed like a damn chimney, but recently i got caught by my parents, about one month and a week ago. So i planned on quitting weed on the last day of school, one last session with all my buddies. this was on 6/9/10. I smoked about .5 grams to the face. My dad is really smart when it comes to drugs since he grew up around them and kept himself clean. So he realized i got high, he has a drug test and he said hes drug testing me (by my piss) and my excuse was its still in my system from the time i got caught first, wich was about two weeks ago from 6/9/20. Now im grounded for the summer, he said if im clean in two weeks ill be out and earn his trust back. So now i need to know, how long will it take? So heres more details... I workout allot everyday, i dont do much cardio except for swimming and jump roping. I drink allot of water, sweat allot, and recently been eating allot. Im really tall and not too skinny, but cut. Id say my metabolism is really fast since i **** like a horse. Please give me pointers and other things to do? ONE LAST THING: smoking cigarettes speeds up your metabolism, so i hear, and i smoke allot, but i quit as of today because of this girl i think i might be falling for, well attempting to quit to be more specific. Help me out, will smoking cigs clean me out faster? I have this really cute pair of hollister laguna skinny jeans. They are dark wash and I usually pair them up with some chestnut uggs which I tuck the jeans into. Anyway, I wanted to know something about the sizing. When I pull them on, it takes me at least five to ten minutes to get them and the crotch all the way up. They're skintight, at least, but then they feel like there sliding down as the day goes on. I mean, I love how tight and sleek they look on my legs, but I have a hard time wearing them to school cause I always have to pull them up. It just seems like every ten minutes, I have to put both hands back, flip up the bottom of the cami, wrap my fingers around the belt loops, and pull as hard as I can. Why are they so hard and tight to get on, but then they feel like they're sliding down? Oh, and I tried going up a size, but that just made the sliding worse, and I can't go down a size cause they would just be skin then lol. Oh, and I pointed out that I've tried a belt, so don't bother pointing that out.

They may well be stressed out by the change of scenery and being so close to each other. Rabbits don't cope well with change- they also do not cope well with traveling. If there is any way you can leave them home in their normal environment and have someone come by and take care of them, that would be better for them. If you do end up bringing them along, expect them to be scared and stressed. Put the cage in a room that's quiet and away from the main part of the house so they aren't bothered so much by people around them at all times (most indoor rabbits would rather be with the family where the action is, but they aren't used to it, so keep them in a quiet area). Give them bits of their favorite treats and try to encourage them to eat. If they go more than 12 hours without eating, you need to visit with your vet about what you should do. When rabbits don't eat, their digestive system shuts down, and their organs begin to fail- they aren't made to be able to fast for periods of time like many animals, and going without food is a serious problem.

So on December 17 the doctor put me on anti depressants because we thought that would be the best thing for me personally. I have been on them for a few weeks now at first I think they were really actually helping me be more positive and I wasn't so depressed. These are relly yummy and a huge hit at every adult party I take them to. Get a number of Jalapeno Peppers, a block of cream cheese, and a pack of bacon. These 3 item is all you need. 5 bucks at the most. cut the steam off each pepper an take the seeds out. You can use a er knife, you finger or a straw. once you gut the pepper stuff the inside with the cream cheese. Do not fill all the way to top , because you do not want it to be messy. Once you have it filled take a strip of bacon a nd wrap the pepper I use a tooth pick to keep bacon in place. Bake in the oven on 350 until the bacon is cooked 15-20 mins. You can stuff the night before and bake while you are getting dresses. These are great at room temp. I suggest making them 1 time before the party to ge the hang of them. I know it sounds tough so easy, cheap, fast and yummy! Good luck

Whats wrong with my hands?

For a couple years now my hands have been extremely swollen, the knuckles and below of my fingers are really swollen and my middle finger is extremly thick and you can see 4 oval circles that are thick and unmovable ( kind of like muscles ) with 2 on each side, and my pinky is also severly swollen its fat and theres something in it so its swollen all around and its practically circular now, same goes for my other hand just not as severely. Ive also noticed that my feet have been effected, like the corners of my toes ( the farthest point, pointing outwards ) feel swollen and the skin around them is dry ( the skin on my fingers is too ) and i dont think i have any stiffness of joints but i used to have my fingers get all stiff but when i moved them they would crack ( i think its called trigger thumb ) but that doesnt happen as frequently now. What could be the cause of this? Ive had a bad long period knuckle bitting problem but how would that effect my feat and why are these oval like things appearing on my finger, i only used to bite 1 finger not ALL of them. My doctor said theres nothing wrong with my bones but hes a pediatric doctor, im 16. Has anyone had a similar problem like this? Could it be something serious? PLEASE HELP ME!! thanks!

I have a 13 year old aquatic turtle that has always been kept in a small home-made "pool" inside the house. For years we've been trying to make her a little pond home in the backyard as we have tons of unused space and we know it's sad she spends most of her time in such a relatively small space. Our problem is that our neighbors have 4 big, sometimes agressive cats that spend most afternoons in OUR backyard. Hello all. A couple days ago my husband and I found out that I was pregnant and we are all quite excited. I woke up this morning feeling nausea and my stomach was bothering me. I have to agree with cebu's answer, 3m remount is a spray adhesive that has a printer friendly version. Otherwise I wouldn't know why office warehouse or national bookstore would carry it. But ACE hardware carries 3m products and most likely has another brand of spray adhesive if not the actual 3m brand remount spray adhesive. Art supply stores would be my second choice.

If you are using the 98 STI ECU then you are fine without tuning for an intake or simple exhaust mods. You won't really see much in terms of power gains but it will run fine. The older ECU's were pretty simple and will compensate, it's the newer ones mainly the Version 8and up or US 04 and up that are problems. Unless you are running much higher boost than stock or a bigger turbo, I wouldn't worry about spark plugs as long as they are OEM specs. I have seen people make some big power on the factory plugs without issue. If I was you, I would find a local reputable tuner that can help you with your options as far as optimizing gains from the parts you are adding. Engine management and tuning isn't cheap but it can really make the car more reliable and smoother especially if you plan to keep adding parts.

Estimated cost to raise a house?

I have recently purchased a house with a sump pump system installed. We are hoping to use the basement as living space, not storage, however, we would like to raise the house approximately 3 feet before doing this. I have my first doc appt. this week but me and my hubby are just curious how far along we are like rough estimate. Well my periods always last 5 days mine in August lasted 7 and was very light, sept i cramped all month not bad just little twinges so i took an HPT one on fri. and one on sun. both came back positve within about 5 min pretty dark, i went to the health dept to get it confirmed and her's said neg she said that maybe i was far enough along to get home ones to show up the EPTS but not her's to wait and see how my period went well it only lasted a day and was only spotting. This month i skipped my period almost 24 days late and iv got 3 instant positves as soon as i took it, and iv been having alot of pulling sensations in my lower abdomen, my question is since i got those 1st hpts b4 my sept period wouldnt i have gotten pregnant in august since they showed up b4 my sept one. So would that put me at 2 mnths or 3 we lost a baby in may so were just anxious. Thanks.

Im 17 and im almost 18 weeks pregnant! I always couldnt wait to have a baby, but not at this age and now that im pregnant, i really dont want anything to do with it to be honest. Ways to tell the difference of plastic and metal?

Sup, I'm a little bit of what you would call, a builder, and I'm making something that requires a small metal piece. The only thing is that it cannot be plastic. I found a piece thats shiny and round but its not even a 1/2 in diameter. and no bigger then a 1/4 inch thick with a whole in the middle. I need to know if its metal or plastic and the only way I can think of testing something so small is to burn it and see if it smells like plastic. Make sure you can visit the horse after a couple weeks, and watch the trainer ride him so you can see what may need to be done when you get home. Right now I personally wouldn't go with the Samsung Galaxy S as apparently Samsung is unveiling their next Flagship phone sometime this month. The iPhone 4 is about to be update in the coming months as well. As of right now, only the Mozart and N8 are the ones with lasting value of 1 year+ as Windows Phone 7's hardware requirements will keep the Mozart decently relevant and the N9 is not going to be a direct descendant of the N8 (N9 will be running MeeGo while N8 is using Symbian^3). It all comes down to what you need now, N8 has great hardware, but the OS is outdated, while the Mozart also has good hardware, but the OS is primitive (will be updated though as it is a new OS). As of now, I would go with the Mozart as it has good hardware and lasting value, but if you can wait a about 3 months, a new iPhone and a Samsung Galaxy 2 will be released.

Can I repair a windshield washer fluid pump?

I thought I had low fluid levels, but I filled it up, and in fact, the no fluid coming out happened JUST AFTER an oil change where they check levels. Could it be a tubing/connector unhooked ("accidentally") or something of that nature? There is definitely fluid topped off, so it seems to be either the pump or the tubing disconnected. I cannot find a fuse that is blown that runs just this function, and all other windshield wiper issues are fine... 2005 Infiniti G35 Coupe. I don't mind taking it to a dealer, but seems like a minor problem for such a big endeavor.

My 14 mth old wont walk?

My daughter was a little over 14 months old before she started to walk. She was quick when holding on to stuff, but just wouldn't do it on her own. It wasn't until we moved into our own house she finally started walking and it was all of a sudden! With us, we figured it might have been the carpet that helped her gain confidence because before we moved we lived with my in laws where it's all hardwood floors or tile. All toddlers are different, don't let the mother's of early walkers discourage you at all.. I heard it all the time how "my son/daughter was walking by the time he/she was 1!"

How do I locate a short in my Toyota's electrical system?

Usually, you pull the negative battery off and connect a test light or voltmeter between the cable and the battery to check for a large draw and start pulling fuses until the large draw goes away...that indicates which circuit has the short. Most modern vehicles have a small parasitic load so there will be some draw of a few milliamps. Then it's a matter of tracing the wiring for that circuit to look for evidence of the short such as grounding wires or traces of arcing. It sounds like the lighting circuit is the problem...start with the ignition or headlight/dimmer switch and it's ociated wiring/connectors. Check for bad grounds also as they may be causing the current to seek another path. Eautorepair.net has wiring diagrams...small fee.

I would say toshiba. While the gateway has more preinstalled software, more usb ports, and slightly better graphics, toshiba is one of the most reliable laptops out there. I have had a horrible experience with an old gateway desktop, so I may be slightly biased, but toshiba is such a better brand. Plus, the toshiba also has the ability to add up to 8 gb of ram, if you feel brave enough to work with laptop guts.

Gas-fired hot water heater safety question - pilot flame will not stay lit. How long can I wait to fix?

My hot water heater works, but whenever it is done heating it shuts off and the pilot does not stay lit. Which means every time we need hot water, I need to either use what's left in the heater or fire the whole thing up again (light pilot, wait for it to stabilize, then turn the unit on). I believe somehow when the main flame goes off after heating it somehow extinguishes the pilot too. I have to wait 2 more weeks to get this fixed for free - what should I do?

Can scar tissue make it hard for you to breath?

Had my son by c-section in 95. A hysterectomy in 2003. Scar tissue was attached to everything in side of me that the doctor had to cut off. When I went into work the next week, I was told by my boss that she received a call from "someone" who stated that I was arrested and that they were going to do a press release about it and name my current employment if I wasn't fired. I just found out that it was the prosecutor on my case who did this. Not only that, he also faxed my boss a copy of my charges and disclosed that I had a prior conviction over a decade ago. Can a DA do that? My position isn't one in which I have financial control or work with seniors or children so there is no danger to the public. My son recieved SSI checks from birth to 7 years old. He stopped recieving them because of my income. Cirstances have changed and I recently re applied for benefits for my son whom is severly disabled with a heart condition. I just got a new atiel from a friend. The bird seems very disturbed. She/he has mirrors everywhere so i immediately took them out thinking that maybe thats what made the bird so upset. How do I get my Housing ociation to buy my share of the property?

I bought a 60% share in a local housing ociation property in Blackley, Manchester, seven years ago. Since then, due to the cosntruction company laying the wrong pipes, my house has flooded three times - leaving me homeless each time. I'm desperate to sell because I can no longer meet my mortgage payments, but am having trouble. The ociation have finally admitted liability for not properly overseeing the building work and are going to put it right. This involves major work through my garden involving the siting of a holding tank and control box for a pumping station to deal with the drainage problems. Does anyone know of a way I can pressure the ociation into purchasing my 60% share? They know I cannot pay my rent to them, or my mortgage, because of an unexpected illness and that selling is going to be very difficult. How to cure extreme irritability and fatigue after quitting multiple stimulants at the same time?

For various reasons I had to quit smoking, quit coffee, quit cocoa (formerly a nightly thing w/ a shot of whiskey) and quit most carbohydrates (ketogenic diet) to control heart arrythmias. The first two I quit at once 3 weeks ago. The last two just a week ago. Now, despite having fewer arrythmias, I am EXTREMELY irritable and tired and have been so since I quit smoking and coffee, 3 weeks ago, but no end in sight despite what I've read that it will go away within a couple of weeks. I would like to know how to cure my irritiability, for my family's sake, without drugs. There is no possibility of going back to any of the stimulants and quitting them more slowly/individually due to my heart arrythmia (triggered by all of them). Most of the time I just want to sleep, and if I'm interrupted sleeping or doing anything, I snap. I can't raise two kids this way! Anyone else gone through anything similar?

A male friend asked me to a movie and dinner last night. I live on the other side of town. I drove to his house and when I got there, he suggested we take my car. I hadn't expected to use my car - and needed gas. So he ended up driving. Then at dinner, he suggests we go 50/50. I buy dinner and he pays for the movie. So I agree (because I really had little choice) even though I couldn't afford. He orders an appetizer and then an entre ($35.00 for dinner). If I had known that the evening was going to cost me that much - I would have ped. To me this kind of "surprise"and lack of consideration is not what I see in a friend. What is the best method for removing the old oil filter from an '06 Scion xB (1.5L)?

I have been doing my own oil changes for over 20 years. I put the new filter on hand-tight but, when I go to remove it, it's like someone super-glued it. I have never had this problem with any of the other 12 cars I've owned. I've resorted to using adjustable pliers, which gets it off, but rips the filter to shreds in the meantime and gets oil all over my garage. Strap-type wrenches can't seem to get a grip, and I broke the type that fits on the end of a socket wrench, it was on so tight. Yes, I warm the engine up before starting. Thanks for any help.

My faucet will not stop leaking, what can I do?

My faucet in my bathroom is constantly dripping out water from the spout and I cannot get it to stop. I took the head off of it and inspected the rubber ring that prevents it from leaking around and its fine, I tested the handle it uses and its fine. When I push it all the way down, it leaks faster, and when I move it around to try and get it to stop it just doesn't. I tightened the head as tight as I can get it and it still drips. I live in the SF bay area & I go to San Diego to have all kinds of fun. The Hill crest area is Absolutely better than the Castro any day. There are so many gay run businesses not to mention about 30 bars in the general area. The attitude in the city no matter where you go is very "simpatico". The weather is great. The beaches are fine too. I am planning to move there myself next year. Straight or gay the people there are very pleasant. The Castro is not the same anymore. Years ago it was fun but it has changed a great deal since the 80's. Many, many bars have closed & more straight family's are moving into the area, not that it's a bad thing but not received very well by some people. My vote is for San diego all the way.

Food allergies. i had food allergies for years when i was younger and was told i had grown out of them but...

I use to always carry a gas 'tilly' lantern and still do on some trips as they are good for throwing out a fair bit of light in all directions. But if you get hold of one the lights that has a whole cluster of LED's (like dozens) and runs on at least C size batteries so that they last, that would be better.
