How can I decorate my room to look Indian (and no im not talking about Native Americans)?

My walls are yellow and purple (2 walls each longer ones are purple) and my carpet is blue (carpet was there when i moved in) How can i decorate my room Indian (from India) and use pastels colors instead of the deep colors?
