My 14 mth old wont walk?

My daughter was a little over 14 months old before she started to walk. She was quick when holding on to stuff, but just wouldn't do it on her own. It wasn't until we moved into our own house she finally started walking and it was all of a sudden! With us, we figured it might have been the carpet that helped her gain confidence because before we moved we lived with my in laws where it's all hardwood floors or tile. All toddlers are different, don't let the mother's of early walkers discourage you at all.. I heard it all the time how "my son/daughter was walking by the time he/she was 1!"
