Can scar tissue make it hard for you to breath?

Had my son by c-section in 95. A hysterectomy in 2003. Scar tissue was attached to everything in side of me that the doctor had to cut off. Now 6 years later I'm having a hard time breathing when I do anything. Can't get an answer out of any doctor if the scar tissue is to blame. And how do they see if it's there without cutting you open? Thanks
