What else would go good with aspargus and salmon in a fettuccine?

Mushrooms and/or Pine Nuts sound good- pine nuts would add a nice crunch, and mushrooms would compliment the earthiness of the asparagus. Sounds fabulous- kudos to you for making it from scratch! Enjoy!
