After you finish the terms of your probation and the probation length of time question?

In Oct I will be finishing a term of 6 months probation. I have completed all of the terms of my probation which included 50 hours of community service. The indictment against me is supposed to be dismissed pending completion of the 6 months probation and 50 hours of community service. Should I expect to get something in writing that the indictment has been dismissed? Will it come directly to me from the prosecutor or will prosecutor or judge send something to my lawyer who should in turn give me a copy? Thank you.
